Last year, 26 hotels joined as SIH members, thus increasing the total membership to 76 first-class establishments located in Switzerland, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Major reasons for such a strong increase of membership were among others, efficient sales platform, international presence, recognized brand, modular concepts, transparent sales reports, good cost/performance ratio, advantage of a group without renouncing its personal identity, access to a competence center and services. The interesting marketing collaboration with Swiss-Belhotel International and their four- and five-star hotels in China, Indonesia, The Philippines and Vietnam will be enhanced and strengthens the SIH activities in those important markets.

The online bookings for hotel accommodation and package arrangements also registered a significant rise in 2006. The turnover in Swiss francs was CHF 6,6 million versus CHF 2,9 million in 2005, commission free for our member hotels.

Another of SIH’s mainstays, its seminar service “www.meetingclick.ch”, can look back on a highly successful business year. In addition, SIH became the exclusive licensee for Worldmeetings in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Worldmeetings is a special Internet platform for seminars, meetings and congresses. SIH will manage Worldmeetings via their own seminar service Meetingclick.

In the area of quality control and guest satisfaction, SIH offers its partners an innovative, user-friendly Windows programme relating to Surveying - Analysis - Benchmarking. It supports the entire process in a simple and straightforward manner, from drawing up the questionnaires, to recording the data, right through to evaluating the statistics and carrying out the (anonymous) comparative benchmarking relating to individual companies.
